OPENING CEREMONIES

Each year, our opening ceremonies consist of speakers affected by brain cancer, whether they be survivors themselves or families of individuals affected by this disease.  These stories can be very impactful to all present at the race and show what are cause is really about: helping those shaken by this terrible illness.  Much of our proceeds go to these speakers themselves, ranging from childhood cancer survivors to families who lost loved ones long ago.  This ceremony, while it is short, is for many the most impactful part of our event in hearing directly from those affected by brain cancer.
